“You are the best community which has ever been brought forth for the guidance of humankind: you enjoin good, forbid evil, and believe in Allah” (Al-Imran 3:110).
We seek to change others, when we have yet to change ourselves.
Abdullah Ibn Al-Mubarak said: “O man! Prepare yourself for the Hereafter, obey Allah to the extent of your need for Him and anger Him to the extent of your patience in Hell.”
We are nothing compared to those that came before, yet even now we fail to realise how far we have fallen.
Now we feel that one line (shahadah) is enough to grant success, failing to work towards that which no eye has seen and no ear has heard, for the treasures of the treasures of Jannah.
Take yourself into account before you are taken into account [on the Day of Judgement]
A slip leads to a fall and a fall leads to death.
“The world is 3 days: As for yesterday, it has vanished along with all that was in it. As for tomorrow, you may never see it. As for today, it is yours, so work on it.” [Hasan Al-Basri]
I have moved my feet but am dependent upon Allah to guide my footsteps…
Verily, they plan, and Allah plans, and Allah (s.w.t) is the best of planners
“Behold! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day, there are indeed Signs for men of understanding– men who remember Allah standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides.” [Aal-e-Imran, 3:190-191].
Actions are only by intentions, and every man shall have only that which he intended. So perfect your intentions, and make them solely for the sake and pleasure of your Lord (s.w.t).
Perfect your character, and do not oppress the rights of others. The one’s who will be most aggrieved with you on the Day of Judgement will be not the strangers but your own family. Your own mother will come to you and say to Allah that you did so-and-so in this life, you did not give her her rights, you said a bad word to her and did not ask her forgiveness, and she will take from your good deeds, and those whose rights you infringed in this world will come to you with their complaints and take from your good deeds, so be cautious concerning the rights of others.
Do not belittle the power of dua.
Narrated ‘Aisha: The Prophet said, “O followers of Muhammad! By Allah, if you knew what I know, you would weep much and laugh little.” (Sahih Bukhari)
Do not dwell in the signs, acknowledge them and pass by, for they are only indicators on the path. Self-discipline yourselves not to revel to the extent that others pass you by.
May Allah accept us and every good deed. May Allah guide us on the straight path in a righteous way. In shAllah, may we never disapoint those who truely love Allah, Aimin.

When we are not willing to move our feet
We don’t change Allah’s message;
Allah’s message changes us.
