A quick summary, for anyone who can’t be bothered to listen to all that:
وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلا يَزِيدُ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلا خَسَارًا
We send down in the Qur’an that which is a healing and a mercy to the believers, but it only increases the wrongdoers in loss.
So the Qur’an benefits some but not others. And it’s related in a hadith that the Prophet said, “Wal Qur’anu hujjatun laka aw ‘alaik – And the Qur’an is either a proof for you, or against you.” (Sahih Muslim) We thus have to ask: what do we need to do in order to ensure that the Qur’an will be for us, and not against us? What are our duties and responsibilities towards to it, so that it will lead us to Jannah and not cast us into Jahannam? In short, there are four things we need to do:
1) To believe in it.
2) To recite it: consistently and with tajwid; and to listen to its recitation.
3) To read it; and to contemplate on it.
4) To implement it.
And Allah ta’ala knows best.
